5.0 out of 5 stars Not your typical apocalypse! August 1, 2012
By Dorothy L. Dootson
This book was given to me by the authors for review.

This story follows Willow, the main character, and her friends, Alec, Claire, and Connor, in an "end of days" era. Now, don't go running for the hills yet. I know a lot of people don't really enjoy reading books in that genre, but trust me, you NEED to read this series! When you hear apocalypse or end of days your brain automatically goes to zombies, or weird vampire hybrid zombies. This is not the case with this series. Yes, there is a virus, but it's not a zombie-eating-your-flesh virus. This is just a really painful, crappy way to die. Who wants that? No one! So, in swoops the "government" to fix the problem. They create "shelters" to house some of the people who have survived the super virus, depending on whether or not they pass a few tests to get in. Some are approved entry and some are denied entry. Think of it as a mix between the movies "2012" (with the ships that "everyone" goes in to survive the flood) and "The Crazies" (with the testing to determine if they get to leave the city or not). Very good, very suspenseful, very fun!

I laughed, I cried, my heart raced with the suspense.

What I love most about this book is that it's fast paced, but not so fast that you can't keep up with what's going on and who the supporting characters are. It's a bit of a who-done-it mixed in with a bit of conspiracy. You really just get such a great mix of so many different genres that there is something for everyone. And while this is a Young Adult series, it is really just an all ages (well, children under 10 probably wouldn't care less, I mean boys do have cooties you know - YUCK!) book. Teenagers can relate to the characters, they'll be able to read Willow's thoughts and think to themselves, "I know exactly what she means!" Adults will read the story and think, "I remember that..."

But do you know what the best part is about this book? I couldn't guess what was going to happen next. Generally, when reading, or even watching a movie, at some point I can figure out what's going to happen next and how the story will end. Not with this. Great job, ladies!

Grab a copy, it's not expensive, it won't break the bank if it's not your cup of tea. But, what if it is, and you miss out?

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book August 1, 2012

This is amazing book that has you glued to the pages as you follow Willow through her adventures with her friends Alec,Claire, and Connor. I fell in love with the characters in this book and it had me wanting more!

As Willow and her friends try to adapt to life in the shelter they discovery that something strange is happening to them. As they try to find out how or what is happening to them and why to them. It will be a fight to stay alive as it is a race against time to find out who did this.

I really thought this was awesome book that keeps you guessing as to what is next for Willow and her friends. I can't wait for the next book so I can find out. This is a must read. This book was provided to me by the Authors for review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New YA Series that SCREAMS for the sequel .... August 1, 2012
By Chantress
This book was given to me by the author for review.

Whilst not normally a fan of dystopian style novels, having read the Night Marchers series by the same authors, I was excited to see what they had come up with this time, and I wan't disappointed.

Set in the future when disease and global warming have left no option but for the chosen "healthy" ones to enter shelters set up by Project ELE. The story floows a teenage Willow and her amazing journey through an existance we all hope would never happen but wonder how we would survive if it did.

With a small group of friends what starts as an adventure looking to releive the boredom that is setting in soon turns into a fight for their lives. What starts as a slight paranormal anomaly in Willow soon escalates and although she has the most variations she is certainly not alone. And those in charge want HER.

A fast paced, easy page turner which ends with you screaming for just a couple more pages! I for one can't wait for the next part of the series to be released. A great read for any YA fans.

I know I need to leave at least 20 words about this book.... Can I just type "Excellent" 19 more times? I read this book in 1 day because I could not put it down! What a treat this book was! It left one heck of a cliff hanger! I'm hoping it doesn't take too long for the next book in the series to come out!

5.0 out of 5 stars You Won't Want to Put it Down!, August 2, 2012

This book was given to me by the author for review.

A big fan of the authors of Night Marchers, I was really excited to see what they did with this story. I love dystopian books and this one did not disappoint. Project ELE takes place in a future where global warming and disease have made it so that only the chosen healthy people can enter shelters set up by them. We meet Willow and her friends Claire, Connor, and Alec. Trying to adjust to life in the shelter, they explore to alleviate their boredom. As they explore the mountain more and more, exploration turns into a fight for their lives and they soon realize that they have developed paranormal abilities. Willow more so than her friends. The people running things soon find out and they want Willow.

This was a very easy, fast paced read that you won't want to end. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series. If you are a YA fan, you will LOVE this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! You will not want to put it down. GO and get a copy!, August 2, 2012

I received this book from the author to give an honest review.

WOW! Where do I start? First let me say I have never been disappointed with the books I have read from these authors. Every book they write makes me want to read more from them.

That being said do you guys have book 2 available already? Because I am very anxious to read what is going to happen next, the ending made me want more. I was kind of sad that the book ended so quickly, I guess I should have slowed down my reading. :)

Project ELE will keep you turning page after page just to see what will happen next. In Project ELE you will encounter characters that you will fall in love with. There is Willow who is in a shelter with her father and had to leave behind her mother and brother. While there she meets other teenagers around her age and befriends them. Claire who is very shy but starts opening up when Willow starts to talk to her. Then there is Connor who Willow had met outside of the shelter, but gets to know him better in the shelter. Then there is Alec who starts off as Willow's boss but then it turns into something else. As Willow, Claire, Connor, and Alec adjust to their new lives in the shelter they discover there is more going on than meets the eye.

I do have to say I absolutely LOVED the way the authors made Willow's brother I just fell in love with the little guy, and even though he is a character in a book. I wanted to give him hugs and kisses because he was written to be so darn cute. I wanted to cry when the unthinkable happened.

If you enjoy anything to do with the paranormal and people that have powers then I highly suggest you give this book a try it is a perfect read for YA and adults.

Project ELE is a real page turner. I too read it in one day and couldn't put it down! I was bawling by the end of chapter two! It keeps you entangled in the story and guessing at whats going to happen next. I even knew the basic outline of the story and still was riveted through the whole thing! I loved it and I think it is their best work yet. The ending was definitely a shocker and left me hungering for more. I can't wait for next book!!

Great job ladies!! ^.^
5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting!!, August 7, 2012

This book was given to me by the author for review.

First off I'm not a fan of anything besides paranormal romance but I'm starting to really like this genre. Project ELE starts off with Willow and her family smothering in the sun waiting to be let into the shelter. She goes through lot's of challenges in the shelter and soon she will either survive the life she has to live or she won't.

I loved this book and I can't wait for more books from these lovely ladies who have written a wonderful story to capture me and makes me want to reconsider being a fan of just paranormal romance and start thinking about reading more apocalyptic or dystopian.

I was given this by the author for an honest review
Summary: Millions have already died, and thousands more are perishing daily. As a last ditch effort to preserve the human race, the government implements Project ELE. With the earth heating at rapid speeds, all remaining survivors are forced to turn to F.E.M.A. shelters to wait out ELE's wrath.
Fifteen-year-old Willow Mosby's life, as she knows it, ends the moment she walks through the shelter's door. Willow has to quickly adapt to the new challenges that shelter life demands, which includes making new friends and working a full time job.
Soon after making an interesting discovery, Willow and her friends start exhibiting strange abilities. Seeking answers, they embark on a mission to find out what these new abilities mean and whether they are a gift or a curse.
This new adventure can send her world crashing down around her. The question is: Can Willow survive the fall?
From the authors of Night Marchers comes a new apocalyptic series with a paranormal twist.
The Review
OMG, This is a book that I could not put down. These ladies sure know how to write a book, the plot was amazing, How they came up with the idea I will never know, but WOW, this book had me in tears, it had me laughing, it had me on the edge of my seat, It was really well written, I thought I was there, Willow went through loads during this book, I loved the relationship she had with Alec, it was so sweet, The friendship with Claire and Connor, glad she found someone to be friends with, she really needed some, I won't say too much, but I will say that was one hell of an ending, great way to keep us wanting more, Thankyou so much ladies, I will now be sat waiting patiently until the next one, I am getting it for my daughter to read now, she is going to love it, I would highly recommend this 5/5
5.0 out of 5 stars thumbs up for Project ELE, August 10, 2012

I received this book from the author for a review.

At first I was afraid I wouldn't like this story, the first two chapters didn't grab my attention and I thought awe man...but after that things picked up and the characters grabbed ahold of me and pulled me along for a fun-filled and emotional ride. All in all, I love Project ELE!

In Project ELE there is a virus killing the earth's population and the UN has pulled down the patches to increase the earth's temperature in hopes of killing the virus. Families are standing in line for days hoping and praying that they are healthy enough to be admitted inside the F.E.M.A. shelter to be protected from the deadly temperatures. Strange things begin happening to Willow and her friends and not everyone can be trusted.

I was totally hooked from the first sentence! Loved, loved, loved this book and can't wait for the sequel. Well written, captivating and a really great storyline. A must read - definitely!

Slightly dissapointed when it ended though, purely because it ended and now I have to wait for more. I normally don't enjoy this genre, but could not put it down at all. I read until early hours of the morning, every morning and every spare minute I had, even cooked with it in my hand!

Willow and her friends are really interesting characters and keep you on your toes with their exploring and new-found abilities.

The trailer is great and this book could definitely be an amazing movie!

Definitely worth reading. Thanks Courtney and Rebecca for writing such captivating books, may you write many more!!
